"To the Future!"
I am at the beginning phases of a long and rejection-laden path that is applying to graduate study. My approach has been to find a program that I generally feel I could do well in, focus on one application at a time to do research on the particular professors there and, hopefully, impress them enough to get some funding. This is my list (presented alphabetically to disguise any favoritism on my part): Boston College Department of Philosophy, Fordam University Department of Philosophy, The University of Memphis Philosophy Department, The University of Nottingham Department of Theology, Syracuse University Department of Religion, Vanderbilt University Department of Religion, Villanova University Department of Philosophy, and University of Warwick Department of Philosophy.
It should be obvious I want to do something in the so-called space between philosophy and religion. I'm not sure what this "space" looks like but philosophy and religion have a relationship in time and as one changes the understanding of the other changes. Any advice on these schools is appreciated and any advice is general is always encouraged.
