- She might be able to post on it in more detail later, but I think that we all need to congratulate Monica for riding the 509 miles that it took to get all the way across Iowa last week. She carried all her own equipment and didn't ride in a group. Overall, a very impressive accomplishment.
- Today I received a copy of Donner la mort by Jacques Derrida, and it honestly has to be the coolest book I've ever seen. I have always gotten the impression that European publishers were way behind Americans in terms of cool designs, but this one has a cover with an interesting texture, the flaps that are becoming de riguer in "serious" paperback books, and -- I have to cut the pages. That's right. It's that authentic. Plus, the entire thing is written in French.
- Does anyone know a man who drives one of the "new" Volkswagon Beetles?
- Belle's recent post about blogcrushes and the difference between our blog personae and our "real" selves is worth pondering, as is F. Winston Codpiece III's latest post on the 13 steps of physical intimacy, with a lengthy discussion of female orgasms.
- Since we're on the subject of The H is O, I think that it would be interesting to read a post or series of posts entitled, "Searching for the Historical Kamala the Ugandan Giant." I have my own ideas about who'd be best equipped to write such posts, but I'll leave it up to his or her discretion.
