My Dream about George W. Bush
Last night I had a dream where I was in a public library, and George W. Bush and Dick Cheney were there with me. President Bush had to speak on 1 Thessalonians, and he wanted me to help him find some books. I was looking around, and they didn't have much, and the contents of the shelves kept changing, like they do in dreams -- there was one really thick commentary, a two-volume edition of the letter in the Loeb Classical Library, one commentary by a rabbi, and several commentaries that were only on chapters 5-7 (in reality, 1 Thessalonians has only five chapters). At a certain point during my search, President Bush said, "Man, that's too much reading! Screw it!"
