(9:06 AM) | Adam Kotsko:
The Best Part of Decisiveness
Now I can actually do stuff, rather than just spend my entire day stressing out.On a related note, have any of you ever felt that a book was staring you down, mocking you every day for not reading it? For me, it's A Thousand Plateaus. Between that derisive book and the psycho cat, this house can sometimes be a hostile atmosphere.
On another related note, we're all lucky that America is a Protestant nation where people base religious authority on the Bible only, because Justin Martyr, writing in the mid-second century, testifies that Christians are still basically practicing communism within their communities. That means that all the stuff about how Acts is just exaggerating, or trying to romanticize, or talking about a model that didn't work and that the early church had to change rather quickly -- all of that is completely made up.
