(1:53 PM) | Adam Kotsko:
What?
I really can't figure out what David Brooks is getting at here. My instinct is to say that it sucks, but it does seem to be saying things that are never said in the mainstream media, so that's a virtue, right?[UPDATE: echidne at Eschaton has an idea. I didn't like the substitute crew a couple summers ago, but this time around, the substitute crew for Atrios is quite excellent -- at least in terms of the kind of blog Atrios is trying to do. They provide the link-rich format, with a little less of the characteristic Atrios laziness. So they should just take this praise from someone who gets 0.01% of the traffic they do and put it in their back pocket.]
More news from the New York Times editorial page: Thomas Friedman thinks we should shut down our little gulag at Guantanamo. What a fucking brave thing to say! Wow! Talk about putting your fucking balls on the line! When they start charging for access to the op-ed page, in short, I will not be among those who pay the fee.
