(6:03 PM) | Adam Kotsko:
You know what would hurt?
Let's say that one were in the habit of doing daily push-ups, and furthermore that it was very hot and humid on a particular day. Let's further assume that one has hardwood flooring and that one is inclined to sweat while exerting oneself physically. Under such circumstances, it seems possible that one's hands could slip, with the result that one's face would be slammed against the floor. The very quality that makes the slippage possible -- the floor's non-carpetted status -- would also serve to increase the painfulness of the face-slam.So yeah, that would hurt. (No, it didn't actually happen to me nor to anyone I know.)
