AAR Deadline Extended
Just like they've done every year since I've been paying attention, the American Academy of Religion has extended the deadline to submit proposals for the annual meeting -- conveniently located in beautiful Chicago this year.One might ask: why not just have a later deadline in the first place? I have benefitted from the extension, of course, as the infamous "Weblog panel" would never have existed if I had not received an e-mail telling me the new deadline. And indeed, there has been some talk of another Weblog panel this year. Perhaps this extra week is just the unmerited grace we need.
