Romney's classless exit
"If I fight on in my campaign, all the way to the convention, I would forestall the launch of a national campaign and make it more likely that Senator Clinton or Obama would win. And in this time of war, I simply cannot let my campaign, be a part of aiding a surrender to terror."Romney is a no-count loser and a mental lightweight, so we probably shouldn't read too much into his words -- McCain and the Republican Party no longer have any reason to take him seriously. But I have trouble imagining an uglier, more demagogic concession speech.
How about "In the fight against al Qaeda and the Democrats, all Americans of good will must join together"? That makes the same point more effectively.
No wonder Rush Limbaugh and Ann Coulter love the guy.
