Everyone Likes Root Beer!
...except for naysayer Robb Schuneman and another person who doesn't really count as a "nay" on the Root Beer Question because, although she answered "F," she openly admits to liking root beer when it has ice cream in it.I'm talking about the survey results.
I'd like to highlight à Gauche's response to #5 (good point), Robb Schuneman's #6 (delightfully absurd), Adam Robinson's #23 (side-splitting).
I'm withholding further analysis of survey results until I've compiled all responses. Meanwhile, I'm compelled to post the spreadsheet which contains all survey responses gleaned as of Friday afternoon. More responses have since come in, but I want to give you hungry readers an easy-to-digest taste of people's answers. What's more, I'm including a handy tally of the results, so you can play along with some preliminary analysis of your own.
You'll notice I've included responses I solicited in person from a few Milwaukee people. For all and only such individuals, there's a brief note of introduction under the name.
As you'll see, I've kept the spreadsheet in MS Excel format. One clear advantage of this format is the frozen-pane function, which allows the viewer to scroll freely without losing sight of the questions and responder names.
Another note on format: I've formatted very carefully for nice printing (complete with question numbers at the top of each page), so responses which may not be entirely visible in a given view of the electronic document (don't forget about zooming in or out, positioning the cursor over a cell to see all the text at the top of the screen, or checking out Print Preview) will be complete in the hard document. In retrospect, I suppose printing shouldn't have been a primary consideration here—especially since which version of Excel you're using seems to determine whether the document remains neatly within its designated eight pages or spills onto 12-16 pages.
Finally, and this may be big: I have no idea how many of you have Excel (It's pretty standard, even at home, right?). If many of you protest that you cannot open the spreadsheet, I will go out of my way to present it in a different format.
Enough disclaiming. Here's the spreadsheet:
