(7:34 PM) | Adam Kotsko:
A list of good songs
- "Perfect Day" by Lou Reed
- "Grounded" by Pavement
- "New Slang" by the Shins
- "Time is running out" by Muse
- "Talk Show Host" by Radiohead
- "Ghost" by Neutral Milk Hotel
- "Hummingbird" by Wilco
- "Careful Where You Stand" by Coldplay
- "I can't find my brittle youth" by hood
- "The Luckiest" by Ben Folds
- That one song by Pedro the Lion -- you know the one. (Anthony, help me out.)
- "Christmas Time Is Here" by the Vince Guaraldi Trio
By way of anticipating objections -- I'd say that my list reveals me to be a fan of mainstream music that pretends it's not mainstream. I'll also note that "Talk Show Host" is the only Radiohead song I've listened to since I officially declared my fandom of them to be over. (It uses the f-word.)
