(8:42 AM) | Adam Kotsko:
Anthony Appreciation Day
Many who are first shall be last -- and so, belatedly, I set aside a day to honor the man who has become not only my most faithful co-blogger, but a genuine partner in blogging. This weekend, he brought about a historic moment for The Weblog, becoming the first writer other than me to take up fully half of the Recent Posts. His posts have consistently generated huge comment threads and have often been noticed and commented upon at other blogs.A few of his greatest hits are still on the Recent Posts: Dear Terrorists and Reading Two Sentences From Bush's Speech. He wrote his first post in November of last year, and a few weeks later wrote Leading With Bodies, the first of many "confessional" pieces. He began his controversial series on sexiness in recent months with an assessment of the appearance of the Radical Orthodoxy contributors and has continued apace.
I would love to add more greatest hits, but it's taking a lot longer than I had anticipated, and I have to go to work -- I probably have five times as much material to dig through as I did for the first Robb Appreciation Day, which took place relatively early in the life of The Weblog. In any event, I hope you all celebrate Anthony Appreciation Day in an appropriate and responsible manner.
