Thursday Translation Attempt: Partial
Today's attempt is a bit longer. I went online to try to find an essay by Badiou that hadn't already been translated -- this is my partial attempt to translate it myself. It's an interlinear translation of sorts, with an English translation following each paragraph. It's somewhat of an awkward choice, given that it's about a filmmaker I've never heard of and discusses the plot details of a film I've never seen. Some mistranslations inevitably arise from that. I also get the feeling that there are some film jargon terms in there that I wasn't able to detect using my poor, feeble Cassell's dictionary.For next week, I'll try to have it finished. And yes, it does stop mid-sentence.
