Hope: Warranted?
John Kerry is ahead in the first post-debate poll (link via Josh Marshall). The lead is still within the margin of error, but Kerry's favorability ratings increased significantly after the debate -- a sign that people really are capable of seeing through Republican propaganda when faced with reality. What was particularly interesting is that while fewer than half want to see Bush re-elected, a majority think he will be. I can't really think of why that would be.Sidenote: Referring to a presidential election as a "hiring" decision should be disallowed.
