A Decleration of War.
Make no mistake about it; Bush did not steal the Presidency, the people gave it to him. They believe in him and trust him. They may not have jobs, their sons may be dying in wars to eternally oppress brown people, and it appears for all of that we are not any safer than we were in September 2001. They choose to elect an abstraction for surely God has his hand on George W. Bush.Fine, let them reap the consequences of what they have sown. Let the economy crumble, education falter, our cities live in fear of constant nuclear attack, poor folks health falter because they can't afford health care. Let it all happen. If that is the God you want to serve, then serve it and wage war upon yourself. America and its evangelical Christian contingent has long thought of itself as martyrs, but that has never been the reality of the situation. Let them be martyrs now.
Adam suggests we help support the ACLU, since it is the only thing holding us back from barbarism. We should do this, certainly, but these people deserve to feel God’s love.
