(9:43 AM) | Adam Kotsko:
Invincible Ignorance
I already said this over at à Gauche, but yeah, I've decided I'm never going to read anything on cognitive science or familiarize myself with that field, at all, ever. If I am reading something and I notice that the person is mentioning cognitive science, I will promptly close the book and get something else to read. The only possible exceptions will be mentions of cognitive science that are (a) derisive or (b) dismissive. The same would obviously apply to evolutionary psychology.
Thanks for your time, everyone. There's plenty more where this came from. I'm thinking about blogging about TV sometimes. I watched some just yesterday and came up with several good ideas. For instance, Joan Cusack and Catherine Zeta-Jones should have a fight to the death, and that should be the way we decide who gets to be the Last Cell Phone Company. That way, we don't have to worry about roaming charges, and either Joan Cusack or Catherine Zeta-Jones would be dead (preferably Joan Cusack).
