Tuesday Hatred 7
I hate websites that enforce "good password practices."I was at first annoyed at the Haloscan counter problems, then resigned, and now back to annoyed again. Another technological hatred: I hate it when blogs don't put their full posts up on their RSS feeds. But in a rare moment of non-hatred, now I don't know what I ever did before tabbed browsing.
I hate that I took a (very) part-time job on the understanding that the pay would be within a certain range, then when I got it, the pay was about 30% lower than the low end of the supposed range. What I hate even more is that I didn't say anything when this first happened -- partly because that was before I had any other possible source of income and partly because I felt like I had already agreed to work for them, which, you know, I had, since I went through two separate interviews under the understanding that I would be receiving pay that would make it worth my while. It would be nice if I were a normal, functioning human being who could take care of things like this in a way that makes sense.
I hate that I'm sitting here rereading my post to make sure I didn't leave anything out.
UPDATE: Jonathan Dresner informs me that the latest history carnival is up at the esteemed Cliopatria; the post begins with a quote from Spinoza and includes a lot of links to early modern history posts. I don't hate it, just to clarify.
