(9:06 AM) | Adam Kotsko:
The Time that Remains
I'm finally reading The Time that Remains and will be doing that for much of the rest of the day. Already, only a third of the way through it, I can say with confidence that Agamben's book is qualitatively better than the recent crop of philosophical readings of Paul. The only one that really comes close would obviously be Taubes, but the comparison seems unfair since Taubes's seminar was given as he was in the process of dying of cancer, whereas Agamben's seminar was given several times and he had time to reflect and reformat it into a polished written text.
Agamben has even read Origen's commentary on Romans -- so I'm not the only one.
Has anyone else gotten their hands on the book yet?
