Tuesday Hatred: Nonsensical Edition
I hate it that Starflyer 59 can’t be more fun. I hate it that I can’t listen to the lyrics of a Starflyer 59 song because Jason Martin has such a super-cool (read: detached, somnambulent) voice. Like Bob Mould before me, I hate alternative rock.In 1996, the girl who verified meal plans was taking an informal poll. “What type of music do you absolutely hate?” Russ said art rock, and that was a good response because no one in the cafeteria already said art rock. So I said art rock too, to the girl. Everyone else didn’t mind art rock, but they really hated rap and country. Everyone will listen to anything except rap and country, and they blackened their breasts on Plymouth rock.
But, like everyone else, now I know better than Russ. Art rock is the bomb. It is at art rock. Where? Art rock. Where is it at? It is at art rock. Art rock is where it is at. Starflyer 59 is not singing, he is only sad.
Like the meal-plan girl before me, I ask you: what do you hate The Most?
