Work/Yeast Balance
Hey, I'm back for another day of hate. I hope you all remember my hatreds about work from last week, because I'm just going to build on them today. I'm also sharing my fascination with candida albicans (yeast). These little creatures never fail to amaze (or outwit) me. Enjoy!I hate that on my coffee breaks at the bakery, I fantasize about getting a job there.
I hate that I told Marta's Finnish friend to "go back to Mexico." In my defense, I was just afraid he would take my job.
I hate that the closest I can come to adopting a sea otter is a "symbolic donation" to a wildlife charity.
I hate that the best tasting beer has live yeast chunks in it.
I hate that yeasts are more adaptable and harder to kill than cockroaches.
I hate that I am congratulated for stamping papers in the correct place.
I hate that I care more about the social dynamics of the fish tank than I do about my relationships with my co-workers.
I hate that there is a little troll that works in claims who dumps work on my desk, quickly mutters, "For whenever," and runs away before I can say anything.
I hate that I have to report to a person who sports "the Mexican mullet".
I hate that everyone I work with can be located in the DSM IV axis I personality disorders.
I hate that Ben Wolfson cares more about his work than he does about our relationship.
