Thoughts on Getting Halfway Through a Greek Textbook
The Greeks seem to me to have invested far too much energy in their baroque system of verb conjugation. It's almost cruel to inflict such a language on a child.English is much simpler, because in place of the complicated rules of a language like Greek, we have only one rule: "You just kind of have to know."
