(7:30 PM) | Adam Kotsko:
Blogging Power Struggle
There is an apparent power struggle going on among the contributors to the blog over at picklecomb.blogspot.com. The proprietor, Adam Robinson, tried a group blog experiment. Since none of his potential co-bloggers were Robb, his experiment failed. Thus, he fired all his contributors -- a shocking move, certainly, but arguably a necessary one. Then, all of a sudden this "Monica" person (pronounced MOAN-ica, not MONN-ica) started posting, and she upped the ante a bit by posting a nice little essay about menstruation. Now she's apparently pissed off that no one really commented on her post -- on a blog that she's not even supposed to be part of.
Before long, I'm sure Adam will be giving her admin privileges and find himself fired from the blog that he started.
In short, this is just a shout-out to Adam to let him know someone's reading. It's too bad he doesn't have trackback on his page, or else we could get quite a trackback groove going. That would probably help change the fact that no one has ever linked to my page from his, according to the old "referrals" thing to the right. It might help if he entitled the link, oh, I don't know, "Adam Kotsko & Co." instead of "The Weblog." That's what Melinda does, and she is one of my more consistent referrers (aside from the incomparable Jared Woodard, she is probably my best source for links that don't result from my participation in comment threads).
So, is everyone still pumped for that Nietzsche thing? I know I am!
