(1:30 PM) | Adam Kotsko:
Why We Write Such Good Posts.
Big things are in the future for The Weblog. Monica may or may not post about her conversation with Robert Rubin, depending on whether she has time. Robb has a CD-change post saved as a draft, and he claims that he will be officially "caught up" after that and able to break out of the CD-change genre. Anthony will be home from France very soon, and I'm sure that he will have many interesting stories and insights about our cowardly erstwhile allies. In addition, you can expect more of the same from me. (I was thinking about doing a Zizek parody to go along with my Derrida parody, but other than that there's nothing in specific on my back burner.)
These are all the reasons that I think of The Weblog as more a media outlet than a blog -- going beyond the mere link-a-thon and snark into the kind of hard-hitting, all-original posts that continue to render Salon.com obsolete day after day after day.
