I Don't Understand...For Real Dude.
Okay - Let's make sure I'm getting it all straight..- We're questioning whether John Kerry had flesh wounds or got straight up gatted...yet, President Bush used every possible string to get off going to war.
- We can't prove there's global warming, since we've only been keeping records for 125 years and yet when gas prices fluctuate anywhere near that $2.00 mark, the world's about to run out which will lead to catastrophic doomsday events.. unless we start tapping Alaskan wildlands.
- We spend decades building up terrorists to fight Russia because it is a nation restrictive to people's rights and dangerous to the world. Putin is our pal and ally now as terrorism drives him to suspend democracy..
- We rail on CBS because they won't reveal their sources for the documents which said President Bush was suspended once for cussing at an officer, yet we praise the Washington Post when they refuse to reveal which sources leaked CIA agent identification which could have easily lead to someone being murdered?
- John Kerry is the flip flopper when President Bush ran on a ticket stating he'd be against nation-building, would make sure assault weapons were never publicly available again, ran saying he wouldn't dare touch social security surplus and then budgeted to spend the surplus every year through 2013 insuring its eventual bankruptcy, vetoed the patients right to sue their doctor - then praised it when Texas got it through after he left - and then was against it when it first was used, and within 4 months went from leaving abortion up to "the woman and her doctor" to loudly proclaiming himself pro-life, invited Ahmed Chalabi to the State of The Union address and 4 months later raided his house, supported the tobacco farmers quota system - and 1 1/2 months later supported the buyout of that quota system, vowed not to offer North Korea incentives to disarm since we don't negotiate with terrorists - and then did just that, promised on the campaign trail to lobby with OPEC leaders to force their prices lower - and then refused to do so once the opportunity arrived, in february said that no additional funding was needed for Iraq and in May requested 25 BILLION more dollars for Iraq, said Condoleeza Rice shouldn't testify "out of principle" - and then ordered her to testify, Made a point of campaigning that government should follow the lead of science - issuing policy backed up by leading scientists - and then ignored 60 of the top scientists in the US who pleaded with him to do so, said that creating a cabinet post for homeland security accomplishes nothing - then established that department, Said we did find WMDs - then said we didn't - then said we did - then said we didn't, Supported free trade in speeches given in foreign countries - opposed it in swing states, Wants Osama Bin laden dead or alive - and 6 months later says he simply doesn't care about Osama Bin Laden that much, Supported mandatory caps on carbon dioxide while running - then denied them once elected .... Said we can never win the war on terror, yet will win the war on terror..along with the 11 other points of contingency made by the American Progression Action group. Oh - and really, the guy seriously had the balls to say "I'm a war president," to Meet the Press on Feb. 8 - and then in a July 20 speech in Iowa, said: "Nobody wants to be the war president. I want to be the peace president."
- We want John Kerry to retire from office because he's missed a lot of votes, while President Bush hasn't even been in Washington a full day in the past 90 days, and has taken many times more vacation than any past President.
- We don't like Theresa Heinz-Kerry because she told a reporter to shove off, yet we love it that Dick Cheney finally said it like it is and told a senator to "Fuck off" on the senate floor.
- We say that what Bush did while in the National Guard and while governor of Texas shouldn't be held against him, but we, along with Dick Cheney, rail Kerry for agreeing with Ronald Reagan that national defense should be drastically scaled back since the Cold War had just ended. Yeah, 20 years ago.
- We are all for fighting terrorism world wide, wiping out any and all, yet we divert funds and man power from Afghanistan to the point where the Taliban - the OG'z of the terrorist game - are nearly back up to pre-9/11 levels - not to mention all the new recruits we've built by killing their mother and father collateral damages in Iraq and Afghanistan.
- We portray ourselves as the persecuted minority with everyone out to get us while it's undeniable that the entire country has shifted far right the past 40 years - remember back in the 60's and 70's where a lot of people were Marxist, and that was okay? Ever notice how no one touts the fact that they have a "strong liberal voting record" in campaign ads? Notice how liberal has become a dirty word while conservative is a glorified term?
- Cheney and Zell entirely stretched the truth constantly throughout their speeches and forgot the context of their accusations, as well as outright lied several times, yet Michael Moore is a big fat stupid idiot because he jokingly said "the voters preferred the dead guy" to John Ashcroft..when the voters really knew they weren't voting for a dead guy, but the dead guys unqualified, unpolitical to that point, wife.
- Zell Miller never said anything like this: "My job tonight is an easy one: to present to you one of this nation's authentic heroes, one of this party's best-known and greatest leaders — and a good friend. He was once a lieutenant governor — but he didn't stay in that office 16 years, like someone else I know. It just took two years before the people of Massachusetts moved him into the United States Senate in 1984. "
- 9/11 changed the world forever - so we need to go about fixing it in the same way as always - kicking ass and taking names, and sending all the ragheads to hell where they belong! Only this time, the war can last forever!
- Muslims who have since converted to Christianity are the only source which can give us truthful information, since they've seen both sides. All former Bush aides who have since left their respective positions are embittered and have an axe to grind against their former employees in the administration.
- When we insult people by calling them "girly men" we don't mean it as an offense to women or to men who are effeminate, but merely as an offense to those we call girly men. The fact that the very nature of things says that degrading someone by calling them something implies the thing you call them is undesirable, is irrelevant.
- America is much safer than 4 years ago - yet it's a question of when, not if, we're going to see a 9/11 level attack in the next 6 months.
- What's more, when that attack comes, Kerry will not be able to properly fight it and our candidate will- even though by saying it's going to happen, we're admitting that we haven't been able to properly fight it in 3 years since 9/11.
- Homeland Security is one of the most important departments and needs billions of dollars - yet, the home offices are in a small building that you'll drive by about 4 times before finally spotting.
- John Ashcroft sent memos allowing for the use of torture in situations of questioning in Guantanamo Bay - yet isn't at all responsible for the fact that some took that to mean they could also do it while at Abu Ghraib - heck, while we're at it, he's not responsible for people who took his advice in Cuba either.
- Mexicans and blacks are lazy, and unwilling to work. We've decided this while sitting on our butts on company time, discussing a few we've had interaction with because we're too lazy to get out there and meet more people.
- Homosexuals are unable to control their urges and constantly humping 40-50 people a month. Homosexuals should not be able to marry and commit to lifelong monogamous relationships.
- We are more interested in the people of Iraq than oil. Today, September 14, 2004, we've shifted 3 billion designated for restoring water and electricity to improve security for US workers and improved oil production instead.
- When we end up killing groups amongst which are found notorious wedding singers, wedding presents, formally dressed people, a bride and a groom - we killed top level Al-Queda terrorists. When we kill reporters who were on air at the time - no innocents were killed.
- Those who target military zones in Iraq are terrorists..not insurgents, not rebels - terrorists. When the US targetted brittish military zones in America, they were revolutionaries - not terrorists.
- Every terrorist activist in the world is "thought to be linked with Al-Queda"
- The US is nearly tied with Iran in the range of 140th in all major democratic freedom indexes. The US is a thriving nation, clearly suited to bring democracy to every nation worlwide.
- We continually fall farther and farther down the country ranking of percentage of students to graduate high school. We do not need to spend more time or effort working with education.
- George Bush has continually reduced pay for those in the military, veterans, and families of those killed in duty, he cut Bill Clinton's COPS program and thus sliced the number of active duty policemen by vast amounts, He also directly vetoed a bill to allow NYFD the money to hire more fire fighters after 9/11, Oh, he also made building residents pay to clean up the extremely harmful asbestos residue left on their apartments/offices/homes by the destruction of the world trade center. George Bush is a true patriot who supports our troops and responded amazingly to help New York through the tough time of..you know..actually being attacked. We should definitely ignore this article from the Village Voice.
- Though only 1.7 million jobs were created in the last year - the worst for a recovering economy in 50 years - and though workers real money wages have been falling since december of 2001 - and the fact that Bush is about to become the second president (with Herbert Hoover) to end a term with less jobs than he started - Even though more and more people have gotten frustrated and left the job market (skewing the unemployment rate drastically) IE: the percentage of people over 16 actually looking for work was 67.2% when Bush took office, it's now 66%, that's 2.7 million workers who stopped looking for jobs - and thus, the unemployment rate would be at a record high of 7.1%. This doesn't count people who gave up and accepted part time jobs - the number of people who said they're working part time because they can't find a full time job has risen 35% since Bush took office, the largest increase for any President, ever. The numbers, if you add the 4.5 million workers who fall into this category of part-time not by choice, are catastrophic.
- It is totally fair to compare Bush's economy to Clinton's, even though Clinton dropped unemployment 30% to get to 5.1 on re-election, and Bush increased it 29% to get to 5.4 - so the two are actually moving in opposite directions - meaning that as good as the economy got during Clinton's second term would be as bad as it would get in Bush's second... heck, even given the fact that Clinton created 10.4 Million jobs in his first term while Bush destroyed 1 million...IN SPITE OF IT ALL - the economy is amazing, great, shining, a beacon of light for the world to see.
I just wanted to be sure I, Joe Republican, had my positions straight so I could go out and set the world right on how it really is. Thank you, and please feel free to add any that I missed. As a young republican, I'm anxious to eat it all up.
Seriously though, folks - I haven't been this confused since the opening scene of Fresh Prince, you know, the one where Will's best friend Jazz - whom he supposedly meets in LA, is also somehow "playing b-ball outside of the school" with him in Philly. Please explain.
