(1:12 PM) | Old - Doug Johnson:
Announcing: the web2g!!!
ANDRATZINGER WEEK HAS MOVED here (see the following details)
Berube may have been way out in front with the whole blog thing, but we are going to be the first to experiment with a 2g (pronounced twahg).
After a few rounds of e-mails, Adam and I have decided that a second blog, errr a 2g, is the best way to address one of the main difficulties with the weblog - quick paced theory. That difficulty was highlighted by Sovereignty Week in which some very good posts may not have received adequate attention. As such, for Ratzinger Week, we are going to experiment with the web2g. The idea is to have longer, more theoretical posts stay up on the main screen for comments for a longer period of time. All those who have signed up for a Ratzinger Week day will soon be sent an e-mail link in order to have posting privileges bestowed upon them, and we will advertise those posts throughout the week here at the weblog.
Generally, we conceive the web2g as having redheaded stepchild status withrespect to the weblog (sister site status already having been taken) and will hope to keep posts out front, away from the archives, for at least two weeks.
Opinions?
