My Dream
I dreamed a dream of "m2," of the now-defunct "The H is O." He and I were travelling with an indeterminate number of people. The train stations were confusingly laid out. Consistently, there was one stairway that led to where we wanted to go, and one that led to a dead end; we found this out by experience. When we got to the boarding area and were waiting for our train, we could see the station where the trains to Canada were boarding. I really quickly ran over there, paid my $3.00 [sic] for a ticket to Canada, but missed the train, so I hurried back to my group. We decided not to take the train after all. m2 hopped in his car, and I hopped in the front seat. We were going down Kedzie, and there was one spot where it was really tough -- like on Mario 64, there was a part of the road that was overlooking a river of some kind, and it was linked by a very narrow connection. We barely made it over that, but then when we got to the end of the platform, we fell into the river. (I literally felt as though I was going down the first hill of a roller coaster.)
I managed to escape the car, but I had to leave my bag behind. Lucky thing, too, because it was graduation day. For reasons that are unclear to me, my grandma died of a panic attack or heart attack, right in front of me, but I decided to go to graduation anyway. It was a small ceremony, and we were sitting in a tent (like for a graduation open house) with movie theater-style seats. I was assigned to sit next to Lauren, but she never showed up. I kept telling people the seat was reserved for her. I also would occasionally break down crying, because my grandma had just died, but no one asked me what was wrong. People from my high school were there.
If you want to have a dream this convoluted and disturbing, I recommend eating half a bag of Fritos Chili Cheese chips right before bed. Oh, also, when I woke up this morning, I found that I had actually torn a hole in my sheets, down by my feet. I have no idea how this could have happened -- I got the sheets only last Christmas, and I rotated them with another set every time I washed them. Overall: strange.
