Graduate School Update #2.
I just received my acceptance letter from New School University, though they aren't able to offer me any kind of funding at the moment. Apparently there isn't as much money in radical left-wing Marxism as one would be led to believe.Regardless of this fact, I feel good knowing I have another option if it looks like a move to England is untenable.
For those of you keeping score -
Accepted without funding: Nottingham, New School
Rejected: Villanova
Ignoring me: Fordham, Boston College, and Syracuse.
I’m willing to bet that my next letter is a rejection letter. I’ve begun to notice a pattern where I receive alternating acceptance and rejection letters. I know it sounds crazy but bear with me. I applied to study abroad at DePaul and was accepted, I applied for a scholarship to fund that trip and was rejected, I applied to Nottingham and was accepted, I applied to a New School undergraduate conference and was rejected, I applied to Mille-Feuille to have a poem written in French published and was accepted, I applied to Villanova and was rejected, and now I’ve been accepted at New School. So there, it’s real, and empirical evidence proves it to be so.
